Boat Basin

1. The seven (7) Boat Basin slips are intended for drop-off and pick-up purposes only. Owners, Renters and House Guests may reserve a boat slip allowing them personal use of a slip by calling the Boca Bay Associations Office at 964-0170, or in writing to the Boca Bay Master Association, PO Box 1239, Boca Grande, FL 33921-1239.

2. Owners, renters, and houseguests may reserve a slip in the Boat Basin for a maximum length of one (1) week per month per boat or household.

3. A boater may request a boat slip reservation no more than sixty (60) days in advance and no fewer than ten (10) days in advance. All reservations will be on a first-come, first-serve basis.

4. A boater who has made a boat slip reservation is responsible for picking up his boat slip reservation placard prior to or on the day of the start of the boat slip reservation. If a placard is not picked up or other arrangements made by the reservation holder for delivery of the placard, the boat slip reservation and the opportunity to reserve a slip in that month will be forfeited.

5. A waiting list will be established for boaters who are unable to secure a boat slip reservation in any given month or who want to use a boat slip for additional weeks during a month.

6. If a boat slip is not reserved 10 days prior to a vacancy, the first person on the waiting list will be given an opportunity to reserve the boat slip for the unreserved week. Priority will be given to those boaters who have not had a boat slip reservation in the month (“the priority waiting list”). Those boaters who are on the waiting list, but who have had a boat slip reservation in the month (“the secondary waiting list”), will be given an opportunity to reserve a boat slip for additional time in the month only after everyone on the priority waiting list has been given an opportunity to reserve the available boat slip(s) or there is no priority waiting list. Position on the priority and secondary waiting lists is on a first-come, first-serve basis with no request being accepted more than 60 days in advance.

7. Boaters on the waiting list shall provide a number at which they can be reached. If a boater on the waiting list does not respond to a phone call within a 24-hour period or does not accept an available reservation when offered, the next boater on the waiting list will be contacted. Any boater on the waiting list who does not accept a reservation when offered retains his position on the waiting list.

8. Boat slip reservation placards must be posted at all times. Failure by a boater to post a boat slip placard will result in loss of the privilege to reserve a boat slip.

9. A reservation begins at 10:00 am on the first day reserved and ends at 10:00 am on the day following the last day reserved.
